I don't want to slog back and forth flying 25 minuted flights for 5+ years, just to flow and then commute to reserve in JFK on a 73 and wait another 15 to upgrade... Maybe a 23yo FO at the WOs will go for it, but the math just doesn't add up. Regional flying is also about to get swallowed up by mainline due to attrition, and it sure is tough to get to 1000PIC if your 4-day credits 8 hours.

Of course there will be people who want to stay, but a short term raise won't keep people at regionals who are thinking beyond their next paycheck. Those are the kinds of people I hope to fly with at NK. (or FronSpir/JetSpir...)
The whole 15 year upgrade reserve in JFK is such an old myth. American upgrades are 3 years, united is a year (would be less but contractually cannot be on probation), delta is under a year.

Let’s see, JB already pays more and their CEO has already said they are going to have to up the ante to get a JCBA done while F9 and NK are still stonewalling despite the attrition.

I know the baseline I’d like to start negotiations with and it sure ain’t F9’s.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that B6 will be a path to way more money than F9.

But don't expect negotiations to be easy or that they'll just say "well, how about delta rates guys?"

Because that won't happen, at least not like that.

No management can afford to roll over and play dead, but some are definitely more realistic than others.

Youve repeated this talking point about a million times, but it’s actually untrue. JB and NK have far more overlap than F9 and NK.

Would love to see your source for this talking point that you’ve been clinging to.

Here’s an article that says otherwise, albeit not the best source, but everything i’ve seen indicates the opposite of what you’ve been saying

“JetBlue is based in Queens, New York, and has an East Coast focus, with New York, Boston, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale being the airline’s most served destinations. Its routes have far more overlap with Spirit”

he’s using Robin Hayes propaganda. The JetBlue presentation that Cherry picked some stats. We overlap with With F9 on some cities but not the same days but That counts as ‘overlap.’

anyone knows you look at the departure board in FLL/MCO/SJU/LGA/BDL/BOS it’s yellow and blue on the same routes.
He keeps spitting the same 2 lines. Rinse and repeat

It’s almost as if two competitors sometimes compete on the same route. Mind blowing.

Can't drone on and on about F9/NK overlap as justification for why JB merger is better when in reality the JB/NK overlap is significantly greater. All I'm saying.

Great contribution to the discussion though, keep it up champ.
