FWIW, we (SWA) are supposed to take up to 114 MAX7s next year if we exercise all the options. Only problem….the airplane’s not certified yet and certification is delayed.
I’m not insinuating a SWA/NK wedding but rather trying to calm your concerns that should one occur, I believe SWA is increasingly more likely to keep the Fifi’s especially as your fleet grows.

I think it’s only Matter if time before SW diversifies the fleet. There’s a long line to acquire airbus. Acquiring us would be pricey but quick easy way to diversify by purchasing wouldn’t be too surprising . And getting 2800 pilots would be added bonus. Again I respect SW . Good company with solid financials , but I have zero wish to be acquired by them. The jolt to the QOL I know and enjoy now would suck ..

Lol. Both are pretty unpalatable. I can give you some good advice about the former….tell them to go pound sand when they threaten you and take it straight to arbitration.

Yeah but I’m lazy .. i don’t like super high credit trips. Too much work for me . And I was under the impression at southwest you can’t drop all
your trips, or any trips really. And I know they don’t have the 4 day off rule.

There are trips for the lazy, too. Rigs pay 6.5/day so your low block 3-day will pay 19.5 TFP & a 4-day pays 26.00 TFP.

Look, I’m not afraid to call a spade a spade and haven’t held back my opinions on the shenanigans that SWAPA & SWA conspired to pull on us during the AT/SWA merger. Nor am I shy about calling out just how effed up flight ops procedures are, but scheduling, scheduling flexibility, and especially the dollar to days worked equation is not something that I complain about.
SWA is airline #4 for me as a point of reference. I know you guys at NK have some great scheduling rules and I don’t blame you for being protective of them.
