You're right! I can't leave.. im too old, spent 35 yrs in this industry. i'll be done in 2025. I already have 1 foot out the door. This is what i get for giving no brainer advice to the young guys. If I was 25-45 and somewhat junior, Id leave in a flash. I got comfortable once too, it was not a good decision.

Don't forget that Profit sharing check too.. add an extra $25k-$40k check every year on top of those rates. My NK PS check was great this year. LOL

There's no emotions, i was talking to the young crowd that's somewhat junior. Of course the senior guys really have no reason to leave and are older. I was giving advice to the younger groups. The retirement numbers don't lie, they will continue to be big for years to come. If you can be a CA very quickly at a legacy TODAY, just wait a few years when places like AA,Ual really start retiring..truly is a no brainer... This is advice to the younger guys (mostly 45 and younger)
I know this because I am one of them, and hardly any of us are leaving.

Ok well that's a bit different. Junior pilots should absolutely consider it. But you stated anyone under 45 should be getting out, and we've got quite a few pilots in the 35-45 year age range who are well into the top 50% and will likely remain in a good seniority position (assuming the merger happens) with a snap up to legacy rates.
I know this because I am one of them, and hardly any of us are leaving.

It would seem if you're thinking like that you should already be punching out. The next few years are going to be nothing but stagnation and displacements, unless you're already in the top 20-30%? Also considering our MEC (the only employee group) chose not to support the merger I wouldn't think Robin will be interested in doing us any favors. This thing is going to suck for a bunch of people.
