Management and C suite personnel come and go. I'm not going to make big decisions on my career because of management that won't even be around in a couple years.

I have 2 friends who flowed. One from PDT and the other Envoy. Both will tell you, outside of the increased paycheck, nothing earth shattering has changed for the them.

New contract and new CEO (who is coming soon) it could change, but currently AA is still run as a regional mentality.

I have over 10 consecutive yellow stripes, just lost my first one, because I told CS on a recorded line I wasn't waiting for reassignment and had already booked my own hotel room after sitting on hold for 1 hour (NCC for sit pay, wanted 4 more hours till I timed out, sitting in the hotel I paid for).

I think refusing something from crew scheduling = Bronze battle star

Hooking up with an FA + catching something = red stripe w/ "VD" device + commensurate oak leaf clusters.

The way the WO management views us, we have even less respect for daddy AA everday. If the WO side crumbles there won’t be much left other than the debt and toxic morale.

Yeah, I definitely hear you, but how much does that $hitty feeling translate to AA once you get there? Operating on dry erase boards, 11 days off, 15-hour 4 days with crap days 1-3 and 5 legs day 4, 2 days next to 3 days, and last but not least freaking JJP with the personality of the aforementioned dry erase board - I totally get it. But I’ve got to think it’s exponentially better at AA… Either way, best of luck, brother.

AA may be better than working at a WO, but is it worth the 3+ more years at the WO waiting to flow? Or is it not better coming here and seeing if you really want to go to dAAdy after seeing something outside of AAG?

Coming from a WO, I’m honestly hopeful this is my last stop.

Absolutely not - and I never remotely began to say that. I merely questioned someone at Spirit saying he is way happier at Spirit vs AA when he wasn’t actually at AA; just at one of the WOs. I believe both can be better than the other given individual circumstances.
