You’re assuming things based on negative assumptions vs facts. If you are going to “chicken little” everything, leave the “for sure” and “most likely” out of it.

The OP said he came to Spirit because of the base and “cool people to fly with”. So yes, picking an airline based on that is a risky move unless it’s a fortress legacy hub.
Bases in general as a consideration, sure. Sole reason, that’s a risk that can backfire when bases close.

Don’t strawman the point.

Living in base is a high priority for a huge number of pilots. Not sure why you are pretending its not or shouldn't be.

It's unfortunate, but it's time to go.

Lots of guys leaving Spirit for AA/UAL to keep their Dallas or Chicago home based a strong career long reality. You want that, apply. It’s that simple because bases isn’t something you can negotiate for in a contract. They will come and go.

Scheduling as it is now along with the base reductions are a far cry from what most of us signed up for. I for one didn't sign up to do Allegiant style flying. If I'm wrong about that, the companys lack of communication makes this place a difficult place to invest ones career in. Id say at least half the people I've talked to are either leaving or are looking, myself included.
It's unfortunate, but it's time to go.
