Do you think the 5th largest airline in the country - who will be billing itself as “the new Southwest” is going to have any problem at all replacing you or any of your bitter friends?
I have many friends at Spirit and have been looking forward to flying with you guys. It’s a shame so many of you have allowed JetBlue’s failed business dealings convince you that you’d be better off there. Really weird, actually. Is it the assumed pay difference? Your affinity for New York flying & trips up and down the east coast? The WiFi? 😂

If it is F9, I hope. Let me rephrase, I pray all of you know that battle we will be in. This will be a marathon, not a sprint. This JCBA will be the most important CBA of our careers.

A combined F9/Spirit will be the easiest sales pitch in the universe to Regional FOs eager for a fat pay raise and a new type rating - which is the current target demographic of both companies. Currently, classes for both companies are being filled without effort, despite Spirit’s insultingly low training pay.

I have friends at Frontier as well. Good people. The best thing I’ve heard them say about working at Frontier is “it’s not that bad”.

I’m not sure which part was funny. Spirit and Frontier are both filling classes without effort. I can’t speak for Spirit, but Frontier is filling 50 seat classes with plans to grow them - full of Regional FOs and a handful of captains.
Do you think that changes with a merger? Do you believe a merged company will all of a sudden be struggling to put bodies in the right seat?

Reading these F9/NK/JB threads, some of you guys remind me of when Trump got elected president. A bunch of crazyass lefties screaming that some fascists(Franke/Indigo) are going to be putting them in ovens by the end of next week. And if only Hillary (JB/Hayes) had gotten elected everything is candy canes and lollipops.
You're saying things you have no idea are true, and you'll never be able to prove are true:
-This is 90% better for this pilot group
-90% worse for all pilots the other way
-guaranteed to get a better JCBA with this merger/vs. that merger
-won't ever get industry leading pay
-JCBA is years away now, otherwise it was just around the corner
-guaranteed they're going to close my base now
-attrition goes from bad, to worse, to good, to god help us
-upgrades, and attrition, staffing, 50% discounts on fat boy food from the snack baskets, and aircraft orders, and neos and widebodies
-the recession and murder hornets are coming to kill us all!
Nobody knows what any of this **** is going to look like with either merger. Especially 10,20, 30 years from now.

I believe the vote will go in favor of F9 on Thursday. We will be the 5th largest airline in the US. We ABSOLUTELY have to fight together to get the best JCBA. This will be a make or break for us. Nothing short of industry leading CBA.

Well said. Time to move on and realize the uphill battle we will have against F9 management. Stomp the earth, yell at the heavens, but time to move on come the 30th.
