I agree. I am getting the idea that management intends to make the ulcc model the new bottom-feeding airline, supplanting the regionals in the pilot hierarchy. If this visa bs works out for them, they will want mid-seniority captains to leave for the legacies to preserve their precious 'juniority' and restore their upgrade times. From that standpoint alone, i hope jetblue wins.

The need for a JCBA might be the very thing that allows NK - of all pilot groups - the ability to push the pattern bargaining even from our end. If management really values all these ‘synergies’ they damn well ought to be willing to pay for them.
