Jet blue wants us now
#221
I’ve generally enjoyed jumpseating or paxing on JetBlue, but it’s Middle Class fancy.
It’s ordering a filet at Chili’s, it’s upgrading from an Altima to a Chrysler 300 at the rental counter, it’s booking the romance package for the weekend getaway at the Courtyard Marriott which includes rose petals and a bottle of Yellowtail pinot.
And that’s Cool and the gang, but don’t pretend that it insulates you from the same people we stuff into bright yellow planes.
When I was on a little airport sit during a trip through FLL watching the B6 and NK pax board on neighboring gates for hours…and there was not one iota of difference between them.
When I flew to JFK to catch a Lufthansa flight, I grabbed some sushi in your fancy B6 terminal and got a front row seat to a knock down weave pulling Bronx chick fight.
Point is I could care less about the experience in the cabin behind me, and I don’t care when neighbors or strangers turn their face sour when I say I work for NK.
Show me the money and the lifestyle in the JCBA and I’ll put on your blue shirt.

I think it’s more like Franke is still taking Ben to school.
Let’s see: get a non-competitor airline to overpay for and eliminate your only competition, then send you $100 million because Spirit backed out of your deal.
Pure brilliance by Indigo.

Disclaimer I am far from a juicer. With that said, dude you really gotta check your stuff before you speak nonsense, you can say you rather not merge and anyone can respect that. JetBlue with whatever identity issue they have as you say makes enough money to pay for the airline you work for…. CASH.
The “regional airliner” that’s replacing the one we have is bigger than the 319 you have and pays more than all the planes you have.
The slots in London isn’t the same as one in Newark. That commitment or initial expansion to Europe makes you a whole different airline. Lastly what stagnation are you talking about? From what I’ve been told the upgrade at spirit has been trending the wrong way, Jetblue upgrade isn’t too crazy far off. Stagnation in seat will go away due to the new airline becoming one. You don’t think you would have had stagnation with the attrition issue there seems to be in spirit?

Upgrade is at 4 years.

F9 peeps aren’t getting so much defensive as they are just stating the facts. The tone in these threads has become that the NK/F9 deal is over and Bill Franke is definitely going to just roll over. Either way he wins in some way, so that’s a plus I guess. In the end he may very well let JetBlue take spirit, but whatever decision he makes has reason behind it. It isn’t over until it’s over and, at least for the time being, F9 and NK still have a wedding booked.

Your A220 doesn't eclipse our top 319 rate until year 11 but hey let's not talk facts. Remember we have 1 rate for all types + override.

Year 9 in about three weeks with the 3% bump if I’m looking at it correctly. Top A220 pay of $271.

Nah that’s ok, I was just posting some information. There’s obviously more that goes into compensation than just rates alone.

I think it's a whiplash thing. We've been through a lot of head spinning past few weeks. F9, displacement, no displacement (but later, yes), here's B6! Peeps are all wound up. We're all walking on uncertainty.
