Jet blue wants us now

I'll bet you could find this exact argument being made by a senior-ish VA guy during this same timeline along the process. Go look where he ended up in the AK SLI. For people who don't think DOH will play a significant data point for any arbiter is whistling past the graveyard. Yes, I know AK/VA is a different animal. Yes, I also know the DOH discrepancy between the two as well. But precedence has been set that DOH is more important than RS when combining groups, especially when considering the surviving entity.

Our meltdowns have to be the worst in the industry. Everyone is having meltdowns nowadays, but ours last 10 days and the company just gives up. No hope of contacting crew scheduling, nobody has a damn clue what the hell is happening. Airplanes are parked in the holding pads in Vegas, crews are making SIT pay sitting in a hotel in Cleveland, and crew scheduling is calling them up wondering why they’re not at the airplane in SJU. It’s an absolute joke. When JetBlue had their massive meltdown in 07 (or whenever it was), the BOD axed David neelman and others in the C-suite. Spirit management just laughs all the way to the bank and doesn’t care about the tens of thousands of stranded passengers. It’s an absolute joke. Lol
You see, B6/NK is a match made in heaven. Until you mentioned Cleveland or Vegas, I couldn’t tell which airline you’re talking about.

That’s not the point really. The spirit pilot most likely wouldn’t maintain that ~20%. Sure maybe not slide to 47% but definitely going to take a hit. Also with few retirements at the combined airline and growth being slower it’s not unreasonable to say that spirit pilot will take years to get back to the same seniority percentage they came into the merger with. They may never make it back depending on their age.

FaIr enough. If I mis read it, my apologies. I agree with you. Pure DOH would be wrong and would never happen. As would pure RS. My only point on all of this is that it will be a blend somewhere in the middle of the two. 50/50 +/- 10% would be my guess

Yeah, no prob. Getting cranky about all the JB people complaining about RS with all those young NK pilots. I am 20% at NK, have 10 more years to go, and going back to 50% RS doesn't really sound fair to me.

Rumor I heard is if if the B6 buyout goes through the Spirit planes will be Mint in the front and fight club in the back with cage matches and the FAs in bikinis carrying round count signs.
Any truth to this?

As the country joins the rest of the world on separating the haves from the have nots more and more I assume this is actually a good strategy. Of course the haves in mint won’t want the have nots walking past them so they will have to board from the back
