Spirit Now Sure As It Emerges From Bankruptcy

this is a terrible take.
we (airline pilots) are blue collar. We are skilled labor. We work for hourly wages. Most of us are union members. We collectively bargain. We obtain collectively bargained contracts through unity. We picket and carry signs. We support other unions. We are subjected to the RLA. We’re proud of all the above.
if you want to be considered white collar or management, you’re part of the problem.

Maybe you should try it.... Always amazing to see hard core Republicans be pro union, but only for pilots because management is out to get us, but only us.

What, if anything, does it mean that there are currently 36 jobs posted at Spirit? Are they actually looking to fill those vacant positions given our current. situation? If we're on the brink of collapse, why hasn't the company suspended hiring? Just a smokescreen?

We are trained (usually educated) licensed professionals with a public safety duty. We are paid to exercise professional judgement in grey areas and have a duty to continually update our knowledge and skills. More similar to doctors, lawyers, CPA's, civil engineers, etc than to some dude who screws the same bolt into a truck chassis on an assembly line all day.
Our work structure and conditions does bear similarities to blue collar labor in many ways, especially in the union realm. But that doesn't really make us blue collar.

Of the total number of aircraft, how many are NEO’s without engine issues? No domestic airline will likely be interested in any of the CEO aircraft, only those NEO’s without engine issues. I can’t see legacies interested in any of them since the conversion time/cost would be so great, so what does that leave? Frontier could be interested in unaffected NEO’s, but I don’t see them willing to buy the total just to get a few choice pieces. In a market that is currently oversupplied, what is to gain from any company buying the whole operation and dealing with a merger? What am I missing here?
36 320neo's
32 321neo's (all of them)
So only 68 planes without issues.

How are we not suing Pratt for this? Did Ted sign some deal buying these engines "as is". I'm sorry but $150 milion mx credit isn't helping.
