It was never hard cash, only in house store Credit with Pratt. Hence the reason we lost almost $2 Billion the past 2 years.

Correct, no airlines in the US are interested in the CEOs, hence our last 4 or 5 sold went to Vietnam.

The 50 good NEOs we do have are either leased or heavily leveraged and fully encumbered.
Thanks. That definitely paints a pretty grim picture. I don’t wish what you guys are going through on anyone.

If anyone thinks another airline is taking 3000 pilots without useable airplanes (for at least a year or two) you are out of your mind. They would have to pay spirits bills while they wait to incorporate everything. Not a chance.

You’re not white collar if you can be replaced in about 2 hours or less.

I think he overstates the problem.

https://simpleflying.com/spirit-airl...-whitney-deal/

It’s bad no doubt but I don’t think as bad as he makes it out to be. According to this article the worst is by 2026 and less aircraft than he states. The turn around time is still estimated around 400 days, not 800. Unless he has better information? I’m not saying I’m completely right here since the situation is fluid.

It all worthless labeling for prideful identity.

Boing Engineers are unionized. movie stars are unionized, dentist and doctors negotiate with insurance companies for billing amounts they just call them “networks” instead of “shops”.

This info came from SPA. 2026 isn’t the worst, 2027 is. Spirit was suppose to get 12 engine bay slots this year, Pratt gave them 4. 800+ days now.

1000000000000%.

If anyone goes, it will be the top 800 guys at 50 airplanes x 16 pilots of staffing. And our CBA allows for this to happen with our horrible scope provisions.

But why even bring the pilots and f*ck with the JCBA and unions, and seniority list bull sh!t. That’s so few pilots they could just up hiring and bring everyone over as a new hire.
