Unfortunately the b...ching just never ends. Last summer after I had to commute in the night before I walked from my ghetto commuter hotel over to the Westin to eat something decent for dinner. The place was slow so I sat down at the bar. Only 5-6 patrons but they had a "Spirited" conversation. "efff Spirit" every second sentence. They were all drinking course. I felt ashamed and upset. The best part was when the bar tender joined in too. "Ohhh and they stay here. We hate them... they abuse their discount". That ****ed me off to the point that I almost asked for her manager. But she was a typical dumb obese cu... Instead of working myself up even more I just decided to take it to go and left. Her face turned pale when I showed her my ID and asked for my discount.

^ hahah nice. I'm at the point where I just assume people are Fng stupid if they don't fly us. I understand we don't go to Europe etc, but if you travel domestically, I don't understand why you would pay more for the same Sh-t.........

The lady literally kept saying, "yeah but Delta gives me free drinks" and she didn't believe we had "new airplanes". I dunno, just aggravating.......

I'm embarrassed by the low class embarrassments we have at our hotels, and I'm talking about our own crews.

Want to change the image?? Stop being a cheap MF on overnights. The reason why hotel crews hate us? Cheap bastards.

CAs that won't break a buck out for the van driver. I am still amazed when I see this, seriously?!?! I see some hand a handful of lose change over. You know you're on a 4 day, get some singles or bum one from the other pilot and get him back on the next tipping round.

Tipping poorly is 1 thing, tipping poorly on the meal amount AFTER the discount is even worse.

I was thinking that most of this was from FAs, who are overall the worse with the above mentioned issues along with "I need a fridge" mania at the checkin desk, but as we stay at different hotels more and more now, seems to be a pilot issue too.

We can't do much to change the public image of the company outside of doing our job in a safe manner, but we can control how hotels view us. Don't want to be "those guys," so don't be those guys.

I tell them if they feel so unsafe they should go fly Southwest.

It's been a couple of quarters at least since they last killed someone.

That usually shuts them up.

You should not let these instances get you down. Besides the ad lib from comedians (Spirit Execs must love it anyway - no such thing as bad press), the rest is just pure ignorance.

Your average John or Jane Q. Public is so out of touch, so naive, sheltered, oblivious and desensitized to reality - their pets should "walk" them. You see it in the terminals, on the roadways, in restaurants and grocery stores: They walk like zombies. Danger shocks them into even more of a daze - to the point of paralysis. On the highway, they will faithfully follow the car in front of them right into a crash - because they're not paying attention. People are so caught up in the "suburban rat race" they've forgotten to look up (or around) - and think critically - they are walking victims.

So, to hear someone complain about an airline, or any product for that matter, is par for the course - they have nothing better to do.

I totally get you. I can't blame though flight attendants for asking for a fridge and bringing their own food. I think it's good they do that. They are being financially responsible. It looks annoying when we check in but if you had one of their paycheck you would probably do the same. But what bothers me more are guys not tipping or tipping poorly.

Funny you mentioned this. We get Into Boston the day of the blizzard and literally at the front desk for 20 minutes because the Flight attendant NEEDED,ABSOLUTELY NEEDED a ****ing fridge.........

It was really aggravating. We had to shuffle around rooms while guests where waiting because she needed a fridge.

Sorry, it's inexcusbale. I bring all my food on triips,even a 4 day and don't need a fridge. Canned fish/chicken, microwaveable rice etc........

Whats even more annoying is having to pay for the FAs dinner and alcohol because their credit card gets declined........it's ok they, they can call their credit card companies on their IPhone 6 to realize they maxed out their limit and haven't paid I. Two months. Absolutely embaressing...............

While I'm on a rant. Nothing ****es me off when a CA asks if I want anything at McDonalds and I ask for a coffee and he takes my dollar..........like really? I buy you a coffee at Starbucks, you don't offer me di-k but you take my dollar for coffee? Cheap f----

it's nice flying with the younger CAs, they seem to be on the same page and aren't anywhere near as cheap as the guys on the top of the payscale
