But how does that help when the pilot is at DCA and needs that chart to fly?

I'm not sure if American also uses ForeFlight in conjunction with Jepp, just for cases like this.

I feel very confident in our EFB procedures!

You are? Why?

Most of us haven't seen anything but a line on a checklist. Are you one of the "special" ones who are testing iPads?

Exactly why do that when you have an FO. That's what they're for.

The procedure is to tell the iPad not to automatically update the date/time, set the date back a week (this has the app display the old version of the DCA charts since it now thinks it's before the effective date of the new ones), launch JeppTC Pro and remove KDCA from favorites, put the date/time update back on automatic, and then remember to not look at any DCA plates.

Like others have mentioned, I'm pretty sure that solution would not have been thought of by most people on a flight deck, even by savvy users. And you still have the problem of getting the crew new DCA plates.

Oh well - **** happens. And no ForeFlight either. Is it even approved for 121 use anywhere?

Yes that is easier than my paper Jepps. All these years of using Jepps; what were we thinking?

I didn't say that wealth has nothing to do with a profitable operation.
These are your words:

Wealth is created now with increases in stock valuation, not in running a profitable operation.
So lets chalk it up as a misunderstanding and go from there.

So MYR ACY and DTW ramp now getting canned. I thought they just recently unionized. Do they not have scope? DTW is a joke so good riddance but MYR can turn a 320 in less than 20 min. Whatever happened to the American dream of working hard and getting ahead?

If anyone thinks scope shouldn't be our number one priority in the new contract they need their head checked.

This^^^^^^. Holy mudder of all that is holy, this is right. We need to make scope one of our priorities. Did you see the Allegiant purchased by a major thread? Run Allegiant as a side airline? That's the kinda crap were gonna be subjected to if we don't have iron clad protections. I feel bad for the ramp guys, this sucks for them.

Knew this was going to happen the second they unionized. Very sad and speaks volumes about what our mgmt's priorities are.
