I remember B. mentioning also that it is a way to show and push Chicago in giving us more gates.
As opposed to what? The way VA or JB operate in ORD with empty gates and no passengers half the time? I give the company major credit for doing so much with limited gates. Is it an inconvenience at times? Yes, but isn't it amazing how much we do with only 2 full-time gates. Itb is strategic, we are making sure nobody else squeezes in...just like what we should have done in FLL years ago in terminal 4. You are embarrassed, I am proud, obviously not of the waits and delays, but of the aggressive nature of our management when it makes business sense.
Who got squeezed?

JetBlue doesn't owned L5. It's considered a shared gate. There is already a yellow Spirit sign by L1 so I can only assume we are getting this gate. In the corner... of course.

Who cares vice chair is a fluff position that litterally has no job description. I wouldn't care if Akermans dog was the vice chair. The treasurer however does need to keep the books straight and make sure we aren't wasting our dues in steak dinners and alcohol so it is important but I'm sure the guy elected can handle it if the MEC thinks so.
I think it consolidates the new regimes position.
