So after this preliminary meetings with BB and Bendo, what say the union about it?, I hear the mec talking about tours, visits to bases, flights with awesome pilots, unity, etc....what's going on with the NC and the meetings with company? Are we in a even field or miles away from each other?..

Thanks for the info. What sort of numbers can you pull down that first year of you're willing to hustle? I don't mind working my butt off. I do it now, but I'm a regional captain now with a wife and kid at home pulling down around 90k/year. I'm trying to make that first year as manageable as possible.

Realistically, $30-35,000.

I know, it's a huge pay cut. Did it last year myself. Same situation, previous Regional Captain.

Only in this industry do we make someone moving jobs start all the way at the bottom again. Guess theres no way to fix it

I'm on year three and still don't make what I made my last two years at Colgan which was 98k, 95k.

We are underpaid

So then any way you slice it, I am looking at making less money over the next fours years? Taking a huge pay cut and commuting in the hopes that I upgrade quickly?

I don't see the benefit of leaving the regional I am at.

Is there pay increases on the horizon? How fast are upgrade times?

It would seem so. I just figure that since there are so many leaving my current airline for Spirit, I must be missing something...

There's a Netjet and Skywest check airman, along with other regionals CA, in my new hire class. They probably see a brighter future, and looking beyond the first few years.
