I have to say that's my view as well. I would rather spend my "extra" money at home going to do things with the family. I have no problem going out with the crew for dinner but I honestly don't want to see the sites esp if they cost money and I have seen them already.

Yeah.

I just see some of the places the FAs stay and think "no way would I want 24 hours at that hotel/location"

You can sit in your hotel in Manhattan just like you can (or pretty much have to) sit in your hotel in Queens. What's the difference?

Well Mr. Rockefeller, I'll take the 15 min ride to queens, you spend the extra hour and a half round trip on the train to get your high class $45 burger. I've got better places to spend my money.

You people still act like you're flying at Pinnacle or Go Jet. You obviously haven't been to Manhattan much, because there are more and better and actually cheaper places to eat than in Queens. Competition works wonders...

Gimme a break....RonnyK is absolutely right on this. We shouldn't be stuck in the middle of Corona on a long LGA layover. It's not the greatest neighborhood, and there's nothing around....at all (unless you're a Mets [suck] fan and you can catch a game). As for the '$45 hamburger', you don't know NY very well. Believe it or not, you can eat cheap in Manhattan.
