Yeah, I have an idea. Hold them to the 12% requirement. If they are in compliance, then we agree with them that we are properly staffed, and we will have to negotiate a new percentage or formula next time, or give up something else now with an LOA.

I think a lot of us missed the point of the strike, specifically the "what do you want to give up for that", and the "the pie is only this big" crowd. With an LOA, you may need to give something up to gain something else, but there is value in a strike. We had the right to continue the strike. We should have given up that right for something, but all I kept hearing was "you need to give". And we did, we gave up our right to strike for a sub-par contract... We gave up.

That might be alittle harsh, I think "settled" would be the better choice. Just my humble opinion.

He isn't happy as many, which its their right.
If this contract would have swing in any other direction, we would have the same reaction, maybe not from Rod and other fellow co-workers.
Maybe me and others would be in total disapproval.

It's the nature of the contract Neg., But i agree, i don't believe we gave up. Our MEC and the Negotiations Committee, negotiated to the best of their abilities with the best intentions.

I would be IMPOSSIBLE to achieve 100 % approval, IMPOSSIBLE.

The cool thing, we can still fly together!!

Cheers.

Excellent, hope it comes to fruition.

I'm sure some will find fault and complain about it for the sake of it

It's human nature to create havoc and confusion where there isnt!

This is great news, I hope to see some of my friends back.

Cheers.

Havoc and confusion? I don't get it. (oh yeah, no dissent allowed)

You obviously are not prepared to debate the subject on its merits.

Anyway, recall and upgrade rumor is good. I look forward to reading about it through official channels soon.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Didn't take that long!

Debate what, something that's done?, instead of just pulling fwd and just enjoying what you have.

That kind of havoc. At least you agree on recalls and hopefully you don't think that they may take your job!!

Peace.

Does anyone know what definition of 'red-eye plus one' we ended up agreeing to? The one in the draft and final is incorrect, as I remember the MEC putting out a message after the fact that the published definition did not include red-eye turns. It was just meant to stop the 'east/west' stuff.
