Most if not all redeyes originating in FLL are out and backs. We have an ORD-LAS-ORD in the middle of the night, West Coast to FLL redeyes, LIM to FLL, and LAS to DTW. I'm sure there are a few more but that's all I can think of right now. It doesn't look like we will be effected by them and the contract does have specific areas covering night flying and how long we can be on duty. Just from glancing at it, the contract might be more limiting for night flying than the new rules. From what I understand scheduling has listened to our fatigue reports and tried to eliminate things like FLL-MCO-FLL followed by a redeye as I have not seen one of those in months. There was talk about a crew swap for the ORD-LAS-ORD but it looks like its still in the January schedule. The union has not put anything out on it yet but that's not unusual for us. Plus, they have a few years to pick it apart.

The ord-las-ord redeye turn was eliminated from the schedule at least six months ago, maybe longer. As for the new regs, did anyone notice no more than 3 nighttime duty periods in a row, so no more redeye turn lines!

Some of us commuters like those redeye lines. Unless you want to build 3 on 4 off for us and I'll take my 16, 17 or 18 day off redeye line.

How is this a good thing? Now we have to flip day and night schedules within the same block. Genius!

Thats bogus, I like my red eye lines. Hopefully Spirit will take the full two years they are allowed to implement
