I have private messages going back to 2007. Nothing there from you. Send me another.
Years old data? 90 hour lines are in the current contract. Overtime for straight pay is current contract. Open time awarded out of seniority is current contract. Red eye seven AM arrivals followed by five AM departures are current practice. Four day trips for 18 hours pay is current contract. Hardly years old data. .....and all data that newhires might want to know.
You say "But back to the facts", followed by your ..........opinion. Seriously, why do you get opinions and I do not? If you don't like my opinions/facts/logic why not counter them with facts or logic of your own? The quickest way to shut me up would be to prove me wrong.
I offered to discuss things on the spirit board because some of you expressed a desire to take our internal issues off of a public board. If you have a preferred private board, send me an invite.

The problem with the double secret board is if you disagree with cole Brantley ie just the tip, you get kicked off. Regular folk are not permitted opinions on Coles board. I am aware of several peeps who experienced this treatment but I will not name them here publicly as I have cole Brantley, the perpitrator of the double secret board.

Sorry Sir, this is the Unicorns and Pixie Dust board. Go pedal reality elsewhere, it has no business on APC. Just think positive thoughts and that merger committee will form itself... at least here in APC land.
And why do I have the felling that even that would be enough for YOU.
As much I agree with some of the things you say, I must admit, thanks God the majority doesn't have your enthusiasm and willingness to work together, not here or the other board, but on our own union group as NK pilots.
Cheers, drink up today!

But that is not what you wrote. You were not referring to the contract language. You were referring to lines built "now". Read it:
Also fact that we have been operating in green days. Including March! Meaning I could drop whatever I want whenever I want. No need to call crew scheduling just click it. No need to play sick call games.
Another fact is, and I did not even know this until recently, there is no limit on drops anymore. I can drop down to zero hours if I feel like. Who can do that elsewhere?
Fact is that even my buddy, who is still on reserve, was able to use the transition language and get extra 4-6 days off because of it.
I am mid seniority in my seat in my base and the past few months I have been able to make an extra 15-22 hours of soft time due to transition.
How about mentioning these fact along with the bad ones? Just to maintain a good balance in order to draw a correct picture.
Like I have said. Go and work on activating the alpa board. I chew each union guys' ear whenever I see them about it.

Norman, this exchange started because I made a statement in which I claimed that SPA C2010 was "cost neutral". I have given my reasoning for making that claim, and admitted that it was my opinion.
You want to defend the contract, but I didn't attack the contract (except for trip averaging) and have repeatedly stated that I understand how hard contract negotiation can be. You may have an argument, but I don't think it's really with me. Obviously, certain parts of the contract work for you and your friends, and I'm glad they do. Certain parts work for me as well.
As far your position on"private" boards, I again offer to discuss things on a private board of your choice. In the mean time, I'll continue here as always.

As for you guys beating up on Skybolt- why? Is he not entitled to his own opinion? What does it matter if he's an elected official again? Is he no longer entitled to speak his mind? Is he not allowed to challenge us as an organized group to better our situation?
The same goes for Ramrod- sure, he's a little gruff- but at least he's there to give us (and anyone else viewing) a different perspective. Like it or not, guys, this place (and it's contract) ain't perfect. We can always improve on our current situation. And if you don't think so then please never volunteer your time to represent me.
As for outside people looking in trying to get a gauge on our current environment: if there's a pilot out there that really believes it's always sunny here and we all get together for big group hugs, then they've never worked as a professional pilot before. There is always a little discord.
Lastly- watch it with calling out real names. You've got no proof that Cole B. is the moderator of the SPB. By doing so, you only make yourself look bad.

... and besides that. A web board has more purpose than just to provide communication from the union. There are contract questions that come up and are answered by the reps. I am not even a rep. But I have like 3-4 guys that I know who are new here and they keep calling me about contract stuff all the time. I can only imagine how many phone calls our reps are getting. New hires have all kind of questions all the time. A web board would be a perfect place to answer those.
To date there is no place where the Spirit pilots can have an intelligent conversation with their real names displayed. Don't just think political/union talk here.
