They are short staffed big time. It probably won't change anytime soon unless we complain. Time to write the CP.

Agree. I sent an email out not so long ago. Also time to start sending some ACARS delay reports. I am done hassling and skipping my morning Starbucks so I get to fix someone else's screw up. Hey. If they give me notams for DEN on a LGA-FLL leg, I better read those because they have got to be important. Right?

I wouldn't deliberately delay a flt for notams that are not relevant to my route, but as you say if the are on the release they must be important to the flight.
My case is different, we showed at the airport, and CS called us, my partner answered first and was informed that we had a 4 hr seat, delay at the airport, so they gave him "us" a 4 hr later show time. He said fine I'll let the crew know.
When I came back to the gate, he informed me of the change.
I said BS! Show time was 15 minutes ago when we got to the gate, mind that we had a MYR-BWI-LAS ahead of us.
This 4 hrs, would have reset our duty time.
It took us, both more than two hrs and countless phone tries to CS, to have them start the duty time at our schedule/actual time changed back.

I love it!, gave up on calling to chk in, I usually get the call around dep time. I wonder what would happen if you do the same when you are sick!

Experience was well rounded with 135 and 121 experience. It was clear that more than half of the pilots who traveled to interview lived in the cities which are current bases. Major change was the 10-12 normal pilots called to interview increased to 19. The end result was the 8-10 that were offered a slot. So the standard 80-90% acceptance rate was closer to 50-60%. If that is the future that is fine but pilots who travel to FLL should understand the past might have been changed.
Clearly the next few interviews will show if this was a blip. Maybe it is a case of Spirit trying to look as many as possible prior to Delta, AA, UAL and Airways really starting to hire.
Everyone at Spirit was great and I think the future is bright. I am disappointed in the result but understand with the solid talent pool avail to Spirit that they can be picky to the highest degree. I still enjoyed the process and hope in 6 months I can obtain another opportunity to apply.
