Wow, that is surpising to hear. I know they can be very picky right now, but that sounds like a large number of people getting rejected. Just getting an interview right now is pretty competetive. Sorry to hear, but I would keep trying if you really want to be at Spirit.

We are scheduled to get our NEOs starting in 2016. Those coming starting in 2017 will be fitted with eTaxi. eTaxi or electric-taxi is essentially a geared AC motor powered by the APU and installed on each main landing gear that enables the crew to taxi without engines. We will be one of the first to use them.

I was told the original plan was to slow hiring/upgrades during the summer months. However, because of the uncertainty with the staffing requirements for FAR 117, the training dept will be max blast until at least the end of the year. I'm not sure how far out the classes are filled, but I believe the interview is usually about a month prior to the next available class.

Has anyone run into this calling CS? Busy line and or long ringing follow by someone picking up and hanging up, specially when calling and or waiting to talk to a sup...
