The guys flying for SWA 30 years ago probably thought they'd always be a small airline too...

Exactly. Meaning maybe the next two years is the sweet spot, maybe it's the next 10-15 when plane 500 is on its way

While that would be nice to see, it is very unlikely, we will probably merge, buy or be bought by another carrier.

If our peeps haven't still got our uniform project straight in two years, chances of having an infrastructure to holds 80 airplanes is a site that we are all waiting to see, 500 airplanes will be priceless.

Anyone have a link to what the mandatory retirements are at NKS for the upcoming years?

How about no junior assign. Scheduling calls on ur day off they offer 200% to come to work. Nah I pass see ya. They call somebody else. None of this you have to come to work. How about getting paid 200% for a 4 day trip that starts on Monday and have your 4 day trip that starts on Tuesday pay protected. That's 300%. Junior capt that's equals around $360.00/ hour. Not too bad. I hear AA guys say I got reassigned. Gotta go do a DEN turn. Not here. I have to agree with that.

And somebody else accepts.

People are willing to fly extra for 100% pay, let alone 200%. Until that changes, management has no incentive to change either.

Put it this way: JRM is voluntary.

Technically, you can be forced to IF they call you on your primary phone number (any one you choose) and you actually pick up but no other way. So just don't answer the phone and call them back. They can't junior man you if you call them. Or on acars, or meeting you personally at the jet, or when you call ops in range, etc. only if you answer the phone. That's why we consider it voluntary.

What if we answer and are 1,000 miles and 8 hrs away from base?
