I'm curious, what makes you not happy about this place?

I'm not asking out of spite or anything like that, I think you have to do what's best for you and your family, but what's not to like here?

This "person" claims Jetblue and a fractional all over this board. Pay it no mind. Troll

Where does one find the "real deal" in airline employment these days?

It's all about perspective I suppose. I came up on the hard victor airways of the CJC. This place is paradise compared to there!

Perfect? Nope. But I would not classify this mgmt as hostile

(CJC = Colgan air)

I don't need a card or a dinner where our wives can come, that's all nice and good but it's a waste of money IMO. Make money, follow the contract, everything else is icing on the cake I suppose

Don't waste your time with this individual. How he was hired here is what I shake my head at. Ungrateful, negative, complainer. The worst of the worst. Why come here and waste a class space?

Oh, and yeah Mr. "I'm typed in a 747" but I've got no time in it. I list it as my position on here and I have the sticker in my flight bag. Real impressive dude. Don't let the door hit you...

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Spirit isn't perfect, and far from it. It is a sweet place to work, but we can make it better. WE have to act and change the culture. Pilots can change the culture - we just have to engage those around us who damage the product. We must demand standards be kept! The pilots who don't speak up are ones empowering the rest of the team to continue with their substandard behavior. Speak up! And I don't believe the "it's not my job" crowd. It IS your job. If you sit and look through the cockpit window at inadequate service and let the plane fly like that OUR customers suffer and so do we. Do nothing you are partly responsible. Especially if you are PIC. You're a manager. A team leader. It's in the FOM. The company supports that you are a manager and leader. They can't have eyes everywhere that's why they have US. If you don't think so, resign and let a leader take your shoes. This company is trying to grow, and while I'll demand pay commensurate, I'll act like I deserve it at least.

And, let's stop referring whiners!

Sorry, rant over. And sorry for our sick brother. Let's help him if we can.

^ good post!

I fly with some really senior guys in ACY and it's nice that a lot of them still care, some of the senior FAs need to go though, lol.

Couldn't have said it better myself. This is my company, I'm an employee and shareholder. I have a vested interest in its continued success.

BUT, open time sucks this month!

Any and all help is surely appreciated.

Disgusting that benefits are not offered on day 1 of class! There is no excuse for this; and it MUST be addressed during the next round of negotiations.
