Thanks Combat I appreciate your post. Its been very hard trying to see who accepts Helicopter time. It seems like the majors are not interested. I will keep asking and hopefully one day people will understand helicopter time should count. Especially if you are multi crew, multi engine, heavy Helicopter typed, and current IFR.... Fingers crossed!

Judging by the recent trend in this thread it's apparent that the applicant pool is drying up. It seems that those with a merely passive interest who only half expected a call are getting their chance. Additionally, I'm surprised by how many of these recent candidates demand to be spoon fed the gouge, almost as if it were owed to them, versus actually doing a little research and spending time reading through the hundreds of posts already addressing the subject.
I wrote this interactive book. It's something I have been working on for over two years. I am updating it on a regular basis adding more content, especially with the introduction of the NEO (P&W 1100G) coming up next month.
Downloaded the other day, nicely done, thank you!

To add to the previous posters response to you regarding JetBlue's policy on helicopter time, you should check out their "Vets in Blue" program. From what I hear it's an excellent way to get on their radar. Good luck to you!

Pappiry

Applied in Early sept, went to a job fair in Denver at the end of September and got the call first week in Oct. I'm an ex military c-130 driver/ T6 UPT instructor with 3k total with 1000 pic turbine. I think the job fair was the key. Been pushing off the interview till my wife finished with school!

Congrats on the interview, you'll find all the gouge and guidance you could ever need right here in these threads. Would you be commuting to LAS from AZ? There are several people that do, and from what I've heard, it's not too bad of a commute. Best of luck to you!

Either LAS or DFW whichever would get me a line quicker to limit the suck of commuting!

If I had to pick from those 2. You will get a line quicker in LAS. I was on reserve for 5 months in LAS.
