I wouldn't worry that the sky is falling just yet- that "offer" came at what, the 4 month point of Section 6??

Sure. First year pay is currently $38.50, second year $72.05. Company proposal is $39.49 first year, and $80.60 second year. So a $.99 raise for first year guys and $8.55 for second year, while removing one of the best provisions in the current contract (the way transition conflicts are controlled). They propose to drop min guarantee to 62 if you have conflicting trips one month to the other and put the responsibility on the pilot to find open trips to add to their schedule to build back up to 72.

I have an interview date set up for January 8th. Very excited. Did not attend a job fair, had an internal recommendation.

Why would anyone want to come here. This place is a joke. Our Negotiations have stalled and managment has no intention of compensating this pilot group for what they are worth. They are trying to strip all of our work rules and pay us like regional pilots.

And this is the world's most profitable airline! Go somewhere else and you will be paid what you are worth.

needbrfbag is right! The only ones worst paid than us are Frontier and Hawaian. You can make a boatload more money somewhere else!

Just don't let them sell you the quick upgrade and imminent contract lines at the job fairs. Be realistic and come in with the mindset that this is a pay cut from the regionals and you won't make it up for at least 5 years. That's the reality of the situation right now.

What regional airline out there is paying $70+ per hour to a second year FO? As far as I can tell that's more like 3rd year captain pay at a regional.
