That's great to hear. While the suit and other things shows a bit of personality, I really hope it doesn't become ComiCon like you said. I doubt it will, airlines are by nature very conservative and despite Spirit's ad campaigns, they are too.

Perseverance is the key. I went to two job fairs, TOTALLY bombed the first. I'm betting they had my name on a do not hire list after the first job fair. The second was of course successful.

Things happen fast after the call for an interview, be ready. Good luck!

I learned a lot about the company and I definitely want to be part of Spirit, especially now after talking with the very nice and laid back recruiter. Hopefully, the time and money spent will pay off, but if not I'll be off to the next ACS fair.
At Jetblue if you don't have a blue tie on, you are just not getting the job. I would really hate to see our interviews going "the Jetblue way" to yellow. We should focus on qualifications and personality, not how much yellow the guy has on.

I can only offer my experience as I remember it.

After the job fair, I waited over three months. Some have been shorter, some are still waiting. After I received my first phone call, I did the assessment. I emailed SF back that it was completed, she called back to confirm I was still interested and offered an interview.

After the interview, I received a job offer the next morning, went down to Mirimar for the drug testing, photograph and paperwork signing.

All in all, from first phone call to sitting in class was around 10 days.

I wore a red tie to my JetBlue interview, received a job offer and class date. I interviewed two months at JB before Spirit, the class date they offered was after I had been on the line for two months at Spirit.

Are they doing any tests during the interview now, or is it just the face to face interview? I've heard they have changed, but haven't heard from anyone who has interviewed in 2015 to get confirmation.

This tie rumor is false. I personally wore a non blue tie, so I would be remembered. been at jb almost 8 yrs. The color tie you were doesn't make you more or less douchey, lol. but do whatever you think you need to do to get in the door... at whatever company.

I was at the job fair. What I heard was he spoke to the recruiters no different than everyone else but was then later pulled aside to conduct an actual interview. Don't know if it's true or not but I give the guy credit.

He definitely stood out at the job fair. He took a huge risk by wearing a yellow suit but it did lead to an on-site interview. I talked to him and thought he would be a great fit for Spirit. He never gave up on his goal and he will find out soon about the outcome.

Now I'm wondering how many guys are going to show up at the Denver job fair wearing green suits for Frontier.

That's fantastic, didn't know they were doing on-site interviews. He did take a big risk wearing a yellow suit, I can only imagine he had a big personality to go with the suit. But, as you know a personality isn't everything, so I'm sure his resume was top notch as well.

If their prep for the possibility of an on-site interview was sufficient, they should hear good news.
