Personally, I was blown away at the support I received from dozens of candidates. Everyone had positive things to say and I enjoyed meeting each of you.

I also appreciate the support on this forum and I understand where some of the questions are coming from.

For those of you wondering about my eagerness, personality, or resume.....this was my 2nd job fair, had internal recs, knew my company stats, >1,000 pic turbine, former mil fighters, 73 typed, spoke with Scott about interview prep, and of course - wore the yellow suit.

However, my resume had very little to do with getting the interview. If you ask me what got me in the door at Spirit, I would say.....pure desire to contribute to the company and determination to do whatever it takes to convey that message. Spirit is the only place I want to be.

Everyone I spoke with knows...."I wish everyone could be hired and that I would love to help." No need for anyone to wear a goofy suit.

Thank you Scott, Craig, Jasen, and the rest of the Aero Crew staff for putting on another great event. The service you provide is invaluable!!

Best of luck to everyone.....I sincerely wish you the best!!
Fantastic! Really sounds like you're the kind of guy we're looking for.

Best of luck, but you probably won't need it with your enthusiasm, knowledge and background.

Wouldn't happen to be A-10s would it?

Well done! I can attest that the first fair is a learning event. I figured you had been to a fair before and learned the ropes. The first time I saw you is when you sat directly in front of me in the presentation. I thought, darn I should have thought of that, and there is no way I'm getting noticed now. I don' t think I could have pulled off the suit the way you did.

I put all my effort into preparing for my 5 min with the recruiter and didn't think about the great networking opportunities that were available the rest of the time. Hopefully, I won't have to go back as my encounter was positive, but if I have to I will and I'll be much better at the game!

How much did the suit cost you?

Fist bump. Good on you. This thread is approaching epic status, I hope to get to fly the line with you!

I don't see a need to worry about these fairs becoming a bit more, um, "colorful." Some can pull something like this off. Most of us mere mortals...probably not. The key, as the "original" yellow suit man said, is to show what you're made of, how you can contribute, and how well you fit the company you want to work for.

Thanks so much for actually being a well rounded normal dude. The pics alone made me think we were taking a step back to when all of our "interesting" FLL captains were hired.

I hope you get the offer and it's a good thing the bus is the great equalizer because you fighter guys would make me an embarrassment.

Glad that former military pilots are still interested. Yellow suite guy seems to have the qualifications, so yes why not hire the dude.

Next job fair expect to see "a river" of yellow suites. LOL

Once is unique and special, after that I don't think so. I hope people can see that.

Friend who went to ORD (May 8th) fair (his first for Spirit), got a call in 2 weeks and is currently in class after a successful interview. He was an RJ Captain for about a year and a half, though.
I hear its multiple job fairs for FOs.....Hope that info is wrong. But it would be better to prepare for the long haul....
