I just counted 9 FO's that will get DFW FO on this latest Vacancy.

Is spirit training very tough? Somebody told me it was 98% pass rate, coming from a regional I felt like I was in it on my own. It sounds like they have a solid program.

Training is not easy. First couple weeks is a firehose. Good training though. If you are new to the bus and don't have any glass or fms time it will be a struggle. People do fail events but most make it through. In the last couple of classes I hear of one guy not making it. They are big on flows, callouts, memory items, and limitations. You will be typed from the left seat and have to learn all flows from both sides. Good times.

Congrats to those who were offered class dates!!

Training is a fire hose effect, but with hard work and self study, a positive attitude and nimble fingers, the training is pretty enjoyable.

What's the logic behind having the FO do his ride from the left seat and knowing CA flows?

Upon completion of training, you receive a PIC type in the A320. IOE is conducted in the right seat.

Is the 320 configured in some unusual way that requires the type rating to be done from the LHS? For example, are there maneuvers that the RH pilot can't complete?
