He definitely stood out at the job fair. He took a huge risk by wearing a yellow suit but it did lead to an on-site interview. I talked to him and thought he would be a great fit for Spirit. He never gave up on his goal and he will find out soon about the outcome.

Now I'm wondering how many guys are going to show up at the Denver job fair wearing green suits for Frontier.

That's fantastic, didn't know they were doing on-site interviews. He did take a big risk wearing a yellow suit, I can only imagine he had a big personality to go with the suit. But, as you know a personality isn't everything, so I'm sure his resume was top notch as well.

If their prep for the possibility of an on-site interview was sufficient, they should hear good news.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Good for him! Hope it works out!

Hmmm, hope this doesn't start a trend. Would be better to see eager, personable pilots with solid resumes, who have studied all they can about the company that allow them to respond with intelligence answers and ask intelligent questions. The prep is everything as we all know.

But, it worked for this guy, hopefully he'll be in class soon!

You don't see AA, UA, DL or WN doing on site interviews...

No, you don't. But, that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. It's just a different way to hire.

From the Yellow Suit Guy...

Like I told everyone at the job fair....the suit would either be a hit or an epic failure. Either way, I figured I was a dead ringer for "APC Tool of the Day".

Personally, I was blown away at the support I received from dozens of candidates. Everyone had positive things to say and I enjoyed meeting each of you.

I also appreciate the support on this forum and I understand where some of the questions are coming from.

For those of you wondering about my eagerness, personality, or resume.....this was my 2nd job fair, had internal recs, knew my company stats, >1,000 pic turbine, former mil fighters, 73 typed, spoke with Scott about interview prep, and of course - wore the yellow suit.

However, my resume had very little to do with getting the interview. If you ask me what got me in the door at Spirit, I would say.....pure desire to contribute to the company and determination to do whatever it takes to convey that message. Spirit is the only place I want to be.

Everyone I spoke with knows...."I wish everyone could be hired and that I would love to help." No need for anyone to wear a goofy suit.

Thank you Scott, Craig, Jasen, and the rest of the Aero Crew staff for putting on another great event. The service you provide is invaluable!!

Best of luck to everyone.....I sincerely wish you the best!!
