I don't think it was ever expected per say, it has just been a rumor.

Being LAX and ATL are now mx bases and both growing larger quickly, I would expect that you would see a base in one of those two before you would see a IAH base.

I don't want this to come across wrong but do you already fly 121? I'm asking because different backgrounds don't always understand the airline world where rumors seem to become fact.

Yeah, just because there is a M/X made means nothing when it comes to crew bases etc.......

Have had several Spirit jumpseaters say the rumor was to expect IAH as a pilot base in 2016. That was told to me this past fall.

They should know better. Total unfounded speculation. We all know until you are sitting in it rolling down the runway it means nothing. In fact, our contract states a vacancy bid can be recinded up until the day it goes active. In other words we could announce opening IAH on June 1st and the last day of May we could change or minds and close it.

So you'll know when IAH is opening because that's when everyone will know IAH is opening. Do you only want to come here if we open IAH? I'm wondering why wait for it to open. Seniority is everything and you might not hold IAH if you wait.

Big changes are coming this Fall. Right from our new CEO's mouth. Could be anything but curious to see what it will be.

It seems we have a clue. I bet it's about keeping A319s longer and opening up smaller markets. Let's say CVG, BNA, MEM, STL, SDF and a few others. Between those and MSP, ATL, and DTW, we are Delta AIR LINE's newest feeder!

The only communication that's come out of the CEO's mouth is the fact that he likes pasta.

Or was it pizza?

I forget.

But it was a momentous communication from Fearless Leader.

Oh yeah? I haven't seen or heard anything from him. The silence, as it goes, is deafening.
