Sounds about right. I commute out of one of the city you listed, it's very easy, since just about all my trips start with a red eye.

Thanks for the info guys. This info may be somewhere in the last 170 pages but can anyone briefly tell me what to expect when talking with Spirit at the job fair? Tell me about your experience? Why Spirit type of thing? Or does it get pretty detailed. Thanks again for sharing

Nope, you've pretty much got it. Why Spirit? Plans to go anywhere else? What do you do on your off time? Very general questions.

Good luck!

Hey Guys

I filled out the Spirit App again after about applying 2 years ago. It never asked for flight times and I can't figure out how to upload a new resume. I just copied and pasted it into the box. I did get the assessment and completed that. Is it normal not to have questions about your flight time? Thanks

No. It sounds like you only updated your profile. Go back in until you find the application. It should take you anywhere from 30 min to an hour to fill the whole thing out. It DOES as for flight times.. Broken down by aircraft too, huge PIA

When I submitted my app about a month ago I don't believe it asked for flight time, just the general job history and adulation type stuff. Am I missing something?

Mine was the same way. I went and searched for the job and it even shows up as submitted in the submitted applications tab. But nothing with flight time. Maybe Ill try again in a different web browser or something.

I hope you don't mind if I ask you a couple of questions... What's your experience? Are you an RJ CA or FO? Have you really researched NK or are you just seeing who will bite?

I don't mean to be offensive. I'm really just curious if any regional Captains are still coming here. And if anyone with options would come here. Guys hired by mid 15 might be okay but I'm really surprised anyone is applying much less paying for a job fair anymore.
I honestly just want to know what's going through new applicants minds.

No worries, I'm a RJ FO who could possibly upgrade in about 8 months but I also don't have my degree. Most of company flying is moving east but I am moving west so if I upgrade QOL will drop to crap. The reason I like Spirit is for QOL living on the west coast and the ability to drop trips and have more than 11 days off with non commutable trips. Am I crazy? Also many of my friends at NK are pretty happy with their QOL even though pay is below average.

No you're not crazy. This is pretty much what I guessed was the case with most new applicants.
NK is better than your regional. Great. Looks like EuroCreeps plan is working.

I just hope the NC has the stones to fix this mess.
NK has the real possibility of being a great career choice. But it's honestly a coin toss today. I haven't met anyone hired after 2014 (and many mid level captains) that isn't applying elsewhere.
FYI as a new hire you won't get health insurance for 90 days (that's not too far off industry norm), you can't commute home for the entire time in training (6 weeks +/-) and you'll make about $900. (UA guys get 90 hrs at year one pay per month $8000ish) Just be ready for that.
Good luck to you.
