Where did he communicate this? As fas as I know, he hasn't said a word to the employees since he started months ago.

That's because he doesn't owe his employees Jack ****, just "shareholders"

It's sickening isn't it

Go back and look at what AirTran was/did. NK will be the same. AirTran part 2.

Or was it pizza?

I forget.

But it was a momentous communication from Fearless Leader.
It was pasta...with sauce, and also vanilla ice cream. Although he did say, I believe in the earnings report, that they wanted smaller markets, and to buy some of the 319s as they finished the leases. He also said he wanted to convert some of the later 321 orders to 320s. Although that was in the past, so who knows what he wants now.

I'd welcome that. AirTran was a good airline...once they moved on from the ValueJet days.

Those 319's are to UAL. It would be great to keep them but Im sure ual wants them really bad as well.

Maybe Spirit retains the option to purchase the A319 aircraft at the end of their lease agreements. We aren't privy to the leasing terms, so it's hard to say.

Spirit Airlines fleet changes reflect a potential shift to smaller markets, still growing at 15-20% | CAPA - Centre for Aviation

I didn't realize LAX was bigger than DFW now...and that article came out before the LAX expansion this month.
