Every 1st year regional FO now makes more than a 1st year Spirit FO. Don't paint an unrealistic picture for these guys Smails.

2.5 years ago I was on Reserve for 5 months and I made $29k. Had classmates that held lines from day one and didn't break $32k. I don't believe anybody gets and holds a line from a Day 1 these days.

Do yourself a favor and look at United, Delta and American.

How times have changed. In a recent interview group only 3 out of 12 candidates had any part 121 time at all. Some others had neither 121 nor jet time.
3 years ago new hire classes were full of heavy drivers, RJ CA's, line check airmen, occasional military, etc...
Out of necessity Frontier just signed a flow-through agreement with Silver and Great Lakes. Spirit can't be far behind.

Could anyone give me an idea of the total time and turbine time new hires are coming in with? I would like to have an idea of how much time I need to put in at a regional before I could head to Spirit. Thanks!

Even with our newly reduced minimuns, you are still short of the minimums.
Especially short if 550 is your total multi time, with 1000 being the mins.

I'm gonna bring everyone back down to earth, although I truly hope you enjoyed your trip. 2000tt won't get you a look. If you don't have 1000 turbine and at least 3500 total time you don't stand a chance regardless of what some say on here. People are mad that our contract negotiations are dragging and then come on here and say what they think is happening which isn't even close to reality. Is the well drying up? Yes but not to the extent that the opinions on here would lead you to believe. There are still PLENTY of apps from pilots with thousands of hours of experience, even though lots may utilize it as a stepping stone. If you have 1500 hours go to a regional for a year or two and then apply... Hopefully this contract crap will be behind us. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but nothing that's been said on here is remotely true. Good luck
