Most junior in the bid pack is a Feb 2016 hire... Figure he hit the line April-ish...

Anyone who has recently been called or interviewed.

How long from entering your application or attending a job fair until you received a call?

Question maybe someone can answer.
I applied to Spirit, went to Aerocrew in May and I am thinking about going in July and was just wondering if I should skip this one and build more time or go to it.
I only have 2,400 TT, like 1,300 jet and current 121. When I went in May I had 5 LOR's and the recruiter personally knew 3 of them and we had a great conversation. I know that I am not competitive with my times so that's why I would like insight on if it's worth it to go to all of them. Thanks again for the info

I'm exactly in the same boat as you except I have a bit more time with 121 Pic. Nothing. My buddies there don't really know what they look for, recs don't seem to matter. It could be that they're not as desperate as people think, still lots of high time guys.

Your times are not competitive. So if you want to get noticed, it will take something to make up for the lack of competitive flight times. You need to do both, attend all the job fairs you can and of course continue to build more time. The two are not mutually exclusive.

You may have perceived your conversation to have been great with a recruiter, but I have had recruiters tell me that very few resumes get a second look at a job fair. So attend more job fairs and fly more and get more experience.

Are they looking for astounding extracurricular activities in addition to preferred flight minimums? I mean like owing a business, advanced education, volunteering, multiple type ratings or something else outside out of flying?

Nah, that's Delta's gig.

They care more you have a life outside of flying versus doing things that build resumes.

This is my thoughts as well. For those of you waiting for a call, I would say, find a way to make yourself stand out, besides what's on your resume. I keep getting asked what Spirit is looking for. Most of us here still haven't figure it out.
