Mesa CA here. A bunch of us are pretty sick of where we are with the shenanigans JO is pulling on us. What I USED to like about Mesa was there used to be plenty of reserves, and I could drop trips or parts of trips anytime I wanted. What is it like there in that regard? Plenty of reserves for dropping? And is it like Mesa used to be where you can drop parts of trips that you don't want? I understand some airlines only allow you to drop entire trips or nothing at all. TIA!

You can't chop a trip up and drop the part you don't want. We have red/green for dropping and swapping, it works pretty well. In simple terms, if the day or block of days are red (lack of reserve buffer) you can't straight drop it. If they are green you can. You can swap red for red or green for green, but not red for green... Contractually the company needs to make 75% of the days green when the final schedules come out.

Plus we do not do hub and spoke, back and forth.

I cant imagine a scenario at Spirit where I would start a trip FLL-LGA-MSP and then say "im done in MSP, get a reserve to finish this up"

Frontier lets you chop a trip at the point it returns to domicile. If it goes DEN-LAX-DEN-MCO ...... you can break the pattern up once you return to DEN after LAX. That's what my buddy over there claims.

Correct. Frontier has fantastic scheduling flexibility.

For example at the end of a trip you arrive at your base but still have a turn to complete. You can drop the turn.

Yes, this is what I'm referring to. We used to be able to do this at Mesa before the reserves got into the double digit negatives.

Can anyone tell me what the phone interview portion is about? Is that just verifying everything on your app is correct?

SF usually calls to say Hey. Ask a few surface questions. Make sure you'll be a good fit for Spirit.

-Tell me about yourself.
-Why Spirit?
-Etc.
