Complete ignorance on your part. I know you have never called anyone to inquire or else you wouldn't be spreading this nonsense. Your union is actually the second ALPA property (after FDX) to begin implementation of an environmental standards subcommittee within the aeromedical committee. It's new for 2016 and just getting spooled up. So yes, ALPA does take an interest. Don't let the facts get in the way though.

I said all parties are aware and confirmed by you. There has been zero education or communication on the issue thus far. How is that different than what I have said.

Maybe I got my committee mixed up (I said safety), but I know there has been meetings between spirit and Alpa on this issue. Yet nothing to the group from either.

I may be misreading your tone but you seem to be taking my comments a bit personally. Why? There has not been one read file or even email on this topic. I try to stay incredibly well informed with the ongoings within OUR union and that does require making some calls and emails quite often. I don't necessarily mind it because decisions that affect my career are important to me. I just want to know why contact your rep is the default answer for any lack of communication within Alpa? That is not really acceptable because while I will go out of my way to get most information, most will not and that hurts us as a group IMO. That fact that people defend the practice of call your rep if you want to know is quite perplexing.

I do love a good conspiracy theory, but the simplest explanation is often the correct one. I'm going with climate change.

Believe whatever you want to believe. Spirit ALPA is doing more than almost all other ALPA properties up to this point. Communication and education will happen, but unlike APC, ALPA needs to fact check before sending things out.
