It only works if the cost to replace becomes too high and as long as there are regional FO's lining up its not going to happen. Yes a regional FO will take a pay cut to come here but pilots don't care about that. They see the second year pay as break even and Spirit as a good place to park until a United calls.
Only if 20 guys a month leave will this place even bat an eye.
What is the attrition at Ryan Air? 20+ month and they just build that cost in their model. I'm guessing our training budget could be doubled and the BOD still wouldn't say anything.
If there are zero apps then we can make hay out of attrition. And the only way to do that is to convince the regional guys not to apply. How you do that is up to you.
Actually Ryanair is as high as 70/month. Ryanair is well know as a step stone airline in Europe. They pay their pilots so lousy that it's no big deal as long as training can keep up with attrition and there's a line for new FOs. As a secondary benefit, it keeps the longevity low. ULCC works good, last long time.

That's what I mean. Attrition is no big deal as long as traing can keep up.

Good thing we've got these ground instructors coming in then, won't be but a matter of time before they're doing all our training. PCs too!

Kind of irrelevant as this is a public board. There are some private spirit boards if you're interested??

Not to be a grammar nazi, but using "a interview" is the type of thing that will screw up "an interview."

BIG role? More, like HUGE. The "people" that attend job fairs and work on days off for free at Spirit, are borderline SCABs. I'm sick of the ,"oh I just wanted to get my buddy a job" excuse. Contract 2020!

Looks like captlonestar wants to be the next DFW Chief Pilot, or are you looking for a instructor position when the sims open up near DFW?
Never worked a fair. Nice ASSumption though internet tough guy.

My friend works the fair to keep DB's like you from getting on at Spirit.
