Yes, and anyone in the MEC that refuses to, have obviously a hidden agenda and CANNOT be trusted. (Not that I do anyway)

Isn't that one of the beater 319's? It's a rough airplane on the outside too. The PACK was deferred and no RVSM when I last flew it.

1) A DFW LEC creation isn't solely up to the MEC. It also requires concurrence from the Executive Council.

2) I presume you would support ORD, DTW, and ACY each having their own LEC's? What's good for the goose...

1) I'll have to read them again, but I believe the bylaws place a majority of this decision with our MEC.

2) Yes I believe all bases should have representation. If comparing the distances between the multi-city LECs as well as size, DFW should have had its own yesterday.

Having 2 meetings in a row in LAS has reinvigorated the DFW group that felt disenfranchised during the interium (sic) rep vote less than 2 years ago.

There are many reasons this movement is gaining traction, we'll see what kind of ground it's on.

Our pilot group is growing. Why do you think this would require additional assessments to support a new LEC?

Special interests?? Who in the xxll knows, NJ gov, give me one good reason why we shouldn't have a rep on each base? And one good reason why JA is taking two seats?

I'm sure the details of the financials can be worked just fine. I can offer an idea,
Cancel my ALPA mag x 1300 = some money.
More pilots = more dues (unless it's being used for something else, God and JA only knows)
More efficiency on ALPA meetings (less drinking, eating, drops).

I'm no genius by any measure, but I'm sure we can find a way to get reps in DFW.

Is it true our "quid" is (potentially) in the form of seed funding for a merger fund? In the neighborhood of $1M?
