Also, now that I think of it. The Negotiating update praised the fact they were able to accomplish all this in one week.............

It's actually been since BEFORE last August that they have been negotiating. So last time around they actually appeared to have made more progress Than where we currently stand.

Where's our Quid James?

* commuting on Delta the other day the F/O asked me what my rate was...........

I told him, he replied "I thought you said you were Captain"..........

Fix the Fng slope and do it before August

He once told me in a new hire dinner, "If we aim for Delta rates, We won't see Spirit grow as expected in the future".

Be prepared for Delta to blow their current rates out of the water...it's in the works... Raising the bar higher for when we end up in mediation..

Good. I hope the delay tactics by management bites them In the ass.

The really sad part is it will take 5 years for us to get a contract and even the crap proposal they gave ha would net us more cash than pretty much anything we'll get FOUR TO FIVE years from now

It is a shame, because it didn't use to suck here. But things have really changed allot and I don't see it getting any better.

Yep, and the NC TAing insignificant sections that are essentially rubber stamp copies of our current contract will keep mediation at bay. We may lose some things in mediation but the snail's pace of current negotiations helps no one but the company. I'd be curious to see how a mediator would look at the disparity of our pay rates to the rest of the industry.

I don't mind the dirty planes, the outsourced gate agents, the horrible reliability. I can deal with that, but in regards to Pay, there is no reason for any of us to accept "Sucky" in that regard. ZERO reason.

and to Jamers point, that's exactly why we shouldnt be wasting our time with these BS sections. Get the fng pay and transition hammered out, the rest can be done in a month and it's a slap in the face that we are negotiating the BS sections FOR A SECOND TIME
