Quote: Skybolt is making the point that the "joker" is still an LEC rep, therefore, still has a vote. As you know, the MEC Chair helps provide the direction, but the LEC reps are the one who run the show.

That being said, im glad the new MEC chair is showing us a direction of 100% contract compliance, no waivers, and the contract being the top priority of the MEC at this time.

James would be a great "peace time" MEC Chairman/Rep, but these times call for a war time Chair/LEC. Time to show the arrows and not the olive branch of our flag
Yes, I understand how ALPA works. I have been a member for 17 years.
My point is that even though JA has a voice and vote, he has done enough damage and should tread very lightly and think twice on opposing the current direction.
I agree with everything you are saying except that part of JA being a great peace time MEC chairman.
I left NK 3 months ago for greener pastures. I'm one of those old guys hired to firm up ops. Jyri told me personally that pay was going to be fixed in the next year, 2014. Part of my decission to leave was that I thought not getting a deal during the IROP and amenable date in the summer of 2015 was a missed opertunity James is a good guy who misplayed a hand, nothing more. I wish you all the best but if you are not in the left seat I would be looking.

you aren't a pilot? Trying to follow what you're saying

I think he is saying that he was one of the older experienced guys from World, supposedly hired to dilute the large number of relatively new pilots from regionals and ERAU.

I cant wait to hear about this too. So Jyri hired you to firm up ops. (What ever that means) Jyri asked you to do this this for a promise of a raise in a year. You were happy to accept this assignment along with an ALPA seniority number. When things didnt work out you leave but return to the board to compliment our MEC chairman for giving away the house to management. Really?

New definition: Crumb Buster (n.) A member of Jyri's special circle, hired at Spirit to "firm up ops." A "crumb buster" is always willing to clean up the Spirit operational mess, and can usually be spotted apologizing to customers in the terminal. May also be heard on Ops frequencies calling for paperwork, catering, or furiously attempting to make alternate arrangements for parking when their gate is occupied by another aircraft. Their gruff mating call, attributed to years of alcoholism and smoking: "If you don't like it, then quit!"

Jyri's days are numbered. His little crum busters left behind will have to face the music soon.

What makes you think that? Yuri ain't go anywhere. Where else can you do hardly anything and do it poorly yet get paid so well. Why would anyone want to leave a job like that? I believe we are stuck with this bag of onions for quite a long time.

My point is not that he will resign but that he will be fired or squeezed out. Be patient.
