If being called a "Lower Tier Pilot" by our CEO doesnt stop people from calling for paperwork, fuel, asking for an aircart multiple times vs APU, filing your own flight plan, etc..... I dont know what will.
The union hit gold with that "lower tier" comment and the press release was a great first step. I would like to see lanyards, stickers, id cards that say "Despite what my CEO thinks, I am not a 'lower tier pilot'" or "I work for a lower tier CEO"

Not management, never picked up open time. I have done one JRM assignment. I am not in the training department, I hate the new $30 assessment we have to pay, I think every base should have their own voice within the Union. I like facts not speculation, I like collaborating for a common good. Spewing crap does nothing but make you look uneducated and we need educated people to advance this pilot group.

If you like facts you should know that your $30/mo is much needed and not going into some black hole.

Does everyone realize that Frontier, our rumored merger buddy, now has a Merger war fund now that they voted in ALPA? A portion of their FAPA war chest is now a merger fund. So what do you think would happen if we merged with them and we had zero in a merger fund?

I am former republic, I have seen assessments before, I hate them. We pay dues, learn to budget money properly, or better yet ALPA national provide assistance for a merger. Why should somebody making $72hr pay the same as a $185hr captain? Second year guys have an extra half hour taken out of their check on top of dues while the senior guys have 10 minutes taken out. Is that the right or fair?

Management stooge or not, I hate to admit, but he was right. Facts is facts and that's what we want to rely on. The 30 dollar assessment is very much needed. Frontier is coming boys and we need to make sure we get as much as we can in the merger.
