Ive been here longer than you have and I was around to watch you quit on the MEC one time. I don't want to see it happen again if you run for office. Send me a message if you have a DTW layover I would be more than happy to hash this out in person.
In the mean time - Fornaro, Jyri and Bendo can all suck it. Beg all you want for on time performance and free smiles you all are incapable of effective leadership. that's why you're part of Spirit management in the first place. This entire pilot group can't wait for the next meltdown when you come begging for mercy and get jack $h*t.

This my friends is the perfect example of why our union has been so ineffective these past few years. Ralph Wiggums, either a Council18 rep or member, would rather see the DFW pilots recall the 77 reps who previously won an honest election, than he would see the MEC establish a Local in DFW. In case anyone has forgotten, last year (July) Council 18 filed Article Eight charges against the sitting FO Rep from 77 and the sitting FO Rep from 109 in an attempt to change the power structure of the Spirit MEC. This current call for "contact your status reps, make up your own mind and for god sake if you're not happy with their representation don't try and start your own LEC, recall them." has little to do with the attempt to gain Local representation for DFW and much to do with an underhanded attempt to foment a recall in LAS. Think about it!
I ask you, which of the two options leads to unity and strength? Recalling Status reps? or having a larger, more diverse Master Council?
If anyone truly thinks recalls are in any way anything but a last resort under the ALPA system, then that person is wrong.
Council 77 is two domiciles divided by more than 1100 miles. Spirit is the exception, not the rule, regarding Locals. Most all, non fee for departure pilot groups, have union Locals at all domiciles.
Ralph appears to be one of the 18 guys who is afraid that establishing a Local in DFW might encourage the members of ACY and ORD to also ask for LOCAL representation.
Ralph, this isn't about MEC politics, it's about pilots having the ability to attend LOCAL meetings in which they are able to exercise their Constitutional rights by directing their Local Representatives. Besides, you might be surprised, whomever gets elected in DFW might just ally themselves with 18, you just never know about these things.

I'm close to your seniority. You speak the truth. I'd love a sit down. I have to listen to the propaganda spewed by DFW FOs who actually believe these clowns. Reset my braking brake at the gate and warn me of moderate chop 2 hours prior to departure. Ask him to his face why he quit?

They are probably reseting it before the cabin door opens because they need that extra minute to feed their families.

Yes. I have heard stories from Captains, about FOs who like to reset the parking brake, on their own, while at the gate.
Kind of a "no-no" in my book, as an FO, for various reasons

Same here. No wife and kids but I'd rather sit home and drink beer than perform the duties of a Lower Tiered pilot etc.

Can't wait for another meltdown triggered by our "low tier" management.
