Pfffff, every reserve assignment out of ACY is like a 6 day trip. Day one and day 6 are usually double deadheads or 3hr rides to BWI.
This is why I drop every middle day. I'd rather lose a grand a month than deal with this type of stuff.
Are they changing everyone who has a trip that goes into June from active to Deadhead or just a few?

From what I gather here. It seems that it's just flights that are double bid - or will be in this case. Section 25 already addresses this.

What did your lec do? I got the email from the mec chair, but that's all I've heard so far. Alpa pays millions to lawyers for a reason, we can torpedo this for free. Remember, ****ed off longshore men with crow bars aren't under the RLA. Lets knock it off and let our elected leaders do their jobs.
The LEC sets the direction of the MEC, not the other way around. So what have they done or not done? Besides the sweet, unifiying recall of an MEC during a critical time, beside allowing contract relief, beside allowing us to continue down the protracted negotiations paths and top it off by not communicating with us to the point that some rogue crazy goes off half cocked and potentially screws us all with a "cool" pamphlet?
I'm all for following our elected leaders when they represent us well. Is that happening ? Are we so lethargic we just keep on trucking down the path we're on? Personally, I don't think so. Maybe I'm just crazy (entirely possible and will accept the criticism). I get it. I am glad we have what seems to be a good MEC, but they can only do so much without the support of our LEC's. Hopefully they're getting it.
You guys be the judge. Either way I guess we're looking at what, 3-4 years at the current rate of negotiations?

...and yes, captlonestar, I'm glad they rebutted the pamphlet. Considering we don't have money to pay for an ad to effectively rebuke our CEO, I'm thankful and hopeful our association doesn't get slapped with a lawsuit. To think otherwise is just assine.

Thanks for the heads up on the June DH's. Email sent.
My last live leg (followed by 2 DHs) actually drops me off in the city I live in. So I guess it's a win win.
Are they going to convert them back to live legs though? That's the million dollar question. And do I have to call and get released? Or can I just get off the plane and go home?

They cannot deny a release.

This is important! Don't show up for a DH thinking "I'm not working" You are on the hook for drug and alcohol once you show for that DH. Even if you plan on still taking that DH back to base, instead of finding your own way back, you can still call to get released from the DH.

Has anyone been watching the stock price dropping like a rock? Wish I could feel bad for management, but why should I feel for a CEO who after 3 months hasn't had the time to email the frontline employees a simple hello email?

Who knows, maybe that's why he's here. Tilton drove the stock price down for years in hopes of a buyout..........
