I've got a very serious question, will you take United's work rules, domiciles and PBS for those hourly rates in 2018?

I seem to remember being in a recurrent class awhile back when ol' bendo came in and said he could give us United or Delta rates, but we'd have to accept United and Delta's work rules. No one in the class was too willing to listen to that load of manure then. Have we changed our minds? Are we willing to forego transition conflict, line bidding, vacation conflicts, training conflicts, 5 days off (even though these clowns only seem to recognize 4 days off), 29/7, etc. for a higher hourly rate? I'm thinkin we'll never see a DC approaching 15-16%, so I'm not even putting that into the equation. I think we'll get a little more in four to five years when we get a TA, but we're deluding ourselves if we think this Piggly Wiggly Airline is gonna pay us 176 bucks an hour to raise the gear in a 321.

I'm beginning to believe that this pilot group will give up all quality of life for money......someone tell me I'm wrong.

Why does everyone think that people at United have no quality-of-life? I have several friends over there who have a just fine quality-of-life and get as many days off as I do. I bid for things I have to do in my life not specifically to game to work rules we have here so I don't get to take advantage of these things as much as other people though

Triple 7FO at San Francisco's going to third-year guys right now so there are third year guys at United making within spitting distance of our most senior captains on an hourly basis and when you factor in all of the other benefits they make more.

The only guys that might be comfortable with that here are the very most senior guys the rest of us are so far behind it looks like we're not even in the same profession as other airline pilots not to include the low tier of course

Didn't say United doesn't have a QOL, all airline pilots have a great QOL compared to regional pilots and regular office workers working at Innitech but the buddies I've got at United say the same things everyone else does, don't give up the QOL rules to chase an hourly wage.

Hahaha!!! Seriously? Triple 7 FOs at third year are sitting reserve and are not exactly rolling to Paris once a month, eating croissants making $300K a year no matter what anyone has told you.

777 reserve isn't exactly like sitting 320 reserve. Widebody reserve often goes senior. I know a 4th yr 787 in LA that flys about once every other month on reserve.
