Spirit of NKS, Part II

Exactly. I signed as well and I'm further disappointed about a few of the old guard folks on here going the opposite direction. Who's really dividing who? Maybe, just maybe, signing it and upholding the commitment by a good majority of our pilot group will speed this process up a bit.
Signed. That said...
We already have the old guard vs the burn it down crowd, the alpa apologists vs the I know better than hundreds of years collective experience in labor relations crowd. What I don't get is what's with the management wanna-bees?
Anyway, division accomplished.

I'm all for 100% retro but I'm not going to forego the 85% raise we are due to get a 30% raise and full retro.

Oh, I forgot to mention - I've printed out the names and comments (some classics there) and will run this past legal and HR, just to make sure that I can drop this off with the mediator and Bob. I wouldn't want to violate anything in the code of conduct or employee handbook, by surprising Bob at the eleventh hour (per the original plan).
Don't worry, I'll be updating the print off daily. That way, I'll be sure to maximize its impact....
High five guys!

Ladies, gentlemen (I use this term loosely), and toddlers.
You all know that management reads these posts. This game of negotiations is long, slow, and definitely frustrating. Our negotiators have yet to have their first meeting with the company and the meditor. Let them do their job. How about we just let these meetings play out, THEN ask them questions and concerns that we have? Unfortunately, we do have to play this game in order to succeed.
Whether we agree with each other or not, we can ALL agree that we do have a common goal so please stop embarrassing yourselves and giving the company ammo.

Even lowly Frontier union keeps their members informed with what they are up to.
The only reason we have received this latest round of emails is directly attributable to these forums and internal discussions taking place. Otherwise it would be crickets like the last six months.
I think the union should know they need to put retro pay at the top of their list. Pay, disability, scope, retro. It's all very important. This petition is just one way to voice our concerns with their lack of transparency and progress.
After September 9 if there isn't real progress or movement to self help the pressure to change NC is going to mount.

You think negotiations are going slowly now? Go ahead and replace the NC prior to a TA and watch the wheels grind to a complete stop for the better part of a year.

Again: we need unity now more than ever. I will not sign this petition, and anyone who does should do so while acknowledging the potential good AND BAD consequences that could follow.
I back the NC. I don't pick up open time. I proudly wear my green lanyard. I am not on the standing avail list. I do not support MH and this petition.

Well I disagree, I think this is something we all can jump onboard to support the NC with a element to our next CBA that benefits everyone. This forces the hand of the company to move faster if the NC says that they cannot bring forward a TA without 100% retro, the pilot's will have spoken. We will never see survey results, this is public, vocal, and shows support and unity on one single subject alone, no politics.
So let's ask a stupid question: a year from now you would vote NO on United +5%, 16% DC, solid scope, 5.5 daily rig (non averaged), while keeping 4 days off and transition? Just because of no retro?
Or get 100% retro for allegiant's contract?
Let the NC do their job.

At this point, anyone that wants to replace the NC is an idiot. The only time it'll be appropriate now, is if they deliver a less-than-acceptable TA.

Sheesh, you'd think the mEC was out to lunch or something. We do have a MEC dont we?

Yeah, that's it...you might want to say that, but you'd be wrong. Do you have any idea how long it takes to spool up a new NC? They should do their thing and produce a TA. If it's a turd, well then all bets are off.
