Gonna be funny to see everyone here get butt fuc&ed like in 2010. Courtesy of the same NC.The goons here truly haven't learn their lesson. And many on this forum were not even here back then to realize what disaster that was. But SC... AN...polutti and company got themselves on the cover of that expensive magazine subscription! Good time to go buy that tube of slippery KY.

And they'll do their job when they know that the pilot group demands a strong TA equivalent to the best ones in the industry. Mediocre pilot engagement = medicore TA. We won't be fooled again by "no man's land" or "we're never gonna IPO" comments. Hanna simply made a point to demand that we should get what we deserve. And not that embarrassing $3,000 pre-tax "signing bonus" we got in 2010. What the heck was that? Seriously?! Five years of abuse to get a mediocre pay raise and $3,000?! After a strike?! All you first year FOs should thank your NC for making less today than what I made as a new hire 10 years ago! Give me an f'ing break.
Not this time!

There are many pilots at spirit who feel like they don't have a voice. I don't blame them and I share their sentiment sometimes. We all want a contract. We all want pay increases. We all want all the great things everyone else is getting. We see other negotiation updates for other carriers and we feel like we are getting the short end because we get no information. When a group of pilots, with no voice and no information are confronted with yet another win for another carrier you get petitions like this one.
Two things are apparent to me. First, this group of pilots that are wanting a voice, could actually be of some use to the mec by helping to unify this group. It's obvious that they are motivated and vocal.
Second, a little information and communication would go a long way in helping the pilots feel that at least something is happening.
Lastly, this political bs and name calling is juvenile. Yes, there will be disagreements and the history of this airline is not an easy thing to get past, but your ADULTS! We all want the same things in the long run. These negotiations are war with management and we will never win this war if your fighting each other. Please, get over yourselves and quit the *****ing and moaning and if you don't have anything constructive to say, then learn to listen until you do.
Rant over, I'm just tired of this sh*t!

At this point, anyone that wants to replace the NC is an idiot. The only time it'll be appropriate now, is if they deliver a less-than-acceptable TA.
You think negotiations are going slowly now? Go ahead and replace the NC prior to a TA and watch the wheels grind to a complete stop for the better part of a year.

So they have to learn the positions. The ins and outs. The numbers and the proposals. This can be learned in 2-3 weeks. Max. And if there is congruent legal counsel it won't be long at all.
There has been zero progress in the important areas of our contract so it's not like there will have to be renegotiated sections. We simply say our ask has moved up from the average prior to UA and SW contracts to the new average. Retro pay added too. And before you say the company can then throw out the progress we have already made, that seems okay to me. Those sections are the quick ones to redo anyway.
And any new NC we get will have to promise transperancy and a much more assertive posture so it really shouldn't take any longer than the current crew that doesn't want to rock the boat and plays nice.

This is a perfect example for the rest of you guys of half-truths and propaganda from the vantage point of the senior disgruntled.

For those of you who don't know Hanna. Well let me put it to you this way:
When you talk to other people and they ask you how you like your coworkers you would probably say something like "they are great for the most part, but every airline has its 5%"
Well he is one of the 5%

Same NC? So SM was on that NC? You ever take a look at Astar's contract back in the day? He helped negotiate that ya know. Who had a better contract than us when we signed ours in 2010? Southwest and the cargo carriers

To be fair, 2 of the three on the NC are the same, yes Andy Nelson is not on it this time, Stuart Morrison is, Mike Mattayas and Paul Slotten remain.
