Is like to see dfw with its own local just because JA in Vegas has too much of a vote. He screwed all 1400 of us last year yet he still has 1/6th of the vote. If he's out a dfw local doesn't matter as much to me.

I think it's easy for some to think the creator of this is doing the right thing but I think he's being used by the LEC4DFW camp.
Just recently flew with a DFW f/O for part of my 4 day. He was at the Black Walnut Cafe a few weeks ago and had some interesting things to say about what they want to see done.
He's flown with a few of the main organizers this spring and summer of the LEC push and they were open they want to change the NC and The MEC once they are in. I'm all for change if it's deserved but I don't think change right now for the sake of it or to settle a score is a good thing.
Funny how the usual DFW suspects are the ones blindly supporting the petition on here...seems awfully coincidental.

We've considered all of our options. We want to allow Ryan and James to do the right thing. We believe they and the 109 reps will make the DFW LEC a reality. Our voices will be heard at the next MEC meeting. You can take that to the bank.

I don't know anything about the delusional Mickey Mouse "us against them politics" within the pilot union but I am a little curious,.... What's the problem with the DFW Spirit airplane pilots having their own representation? I'm neither for or against it but I am curious with why it's such a big deal. Isn't it nearly impossible to get decent normal people to volunteer and accept Union positions? It seems like anybody that would volunteer their time would be welcome with open arms.

The time to get a new nc in place was over a year ago. Now it would be a pretty big detriment for us.
There is obviously a lot of emotion around this issue.
