I've stayed at the HoJo and Americas best value inn. They're pretty much the same quality, HJ is about $7 cheaper out the door..$37 or so. They'll both give you a late check out til 5 and the van service is decent. If you want nice stay at the Springfield for about $70.

Clarion is a bit more quiet than the others and you don't have to walk in the rain and cold to get to the hotel Van.
Clarion does have an option for a late checkout 4 or 5 pm but it is an additional fee (not sure how much).
Hope this helps.

I'm a commuter and stay at the Clarion hotel in DTW. 50.06 total gets you a complimentary hot breakfast buffet, crew rooms are always available, reliable van service, and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel like a high tier pilot.

"From last Friday's Flight Ops Update.
New hires and leave returns 2016 - 550
New hires planned for 2017 - 1106
New hires planned for 2018 - 1236
Number of new Captains - 450 (unsure of the timeline didn't say)
Number of aircraft we plan to have in 2017 - 767 (vs 739 planned in 2016)
Oh course the standard subject to change caveat."
So basically United can hire almost our entire pilot group in one year. That doesnt include the other big 3. Anyone going to recurrent and ask the great Bendo how they are going to compete with that?
