Can someone help me out, in mediation if both parties can't agree on an item, does the mediator offer a help, or just ensure they meet?

Werent were released to strike in less time than it would take from amendable to 2020.......? We do have some stuff TAd (albeit petty). And we are in mediation.

Side discussion, has anyone used the family Diamond insurance plan? If so would you mind PMing me. Just wondering if it works well for the price. Thanks

NTSB published their finding on a corporate crash and after reading it I can't help but think the NTSB would say very similar things if we ever had a mishap.
"Execuflight has a “check-the-box approach,” NTSB concluded. They may have followed regulations, NTSB board members said, but not with the necessary thoroughness."
I know we are battling for a TA but can anyone say if there is any appetite for pressuring the company for better training for new hires and recurrent?

I bring it up because it wasn't an impasse, but just additional time in reg negotiations.

**** to clarify, I'm thinking of inital only, recurrent is fine (ref Juices comment). Maybe one day we'll join the 21st century and have an AQP program???****

Longer modules for the EFB training for recurrent?
Longer oral exams?
More limitation and memory items for PCs?
Ground School exams in which the Riddle kids get to write themselves and not have them tempered down after someone with realistic standards looks at the exam?
Slippery slope right there....
Would you like PTs for FOs every 6 months, like it is with CAs?
Would it be nice to try some new things on the warm up sim, yeah. Will that change our training or other standard/AQP airline training from a "check the box" training environment, I dont think so.

Delta and their pilots were benched for 3 weeks just prior to their TA. According to one of their guys(and an article I thought), they were so far apart the mediator told them to rethink their positions.
