Meanwhile Menke and the COO split Ted's salary between themselves "as compensation for taking on the duties of the departing CFO, Christie." Gave themselves huge raises and then declared bankruptcy a short time later (3 weeks later). April 1st to be exact. And no they didn't take a pay cut upon the announcement or hiring of the next CFO.
All of these guys just make their rounds at various operators whether they're successful or not.

Clueless is someone who can't see reality. Every pilot I meet in the jetway or crew room or bar is trying to leave. They no longer care about Spirit as a career. The way the senior pilots talk, everyone was happy twenty years ago when the senior guys made all the money and the junior guys and gals got their PIC and moved on.
Why should the senior group give up pay in order to put numbers into a column on the scale that will never be occupied?
If we bring up first year pay enough to keep the first year FO's off of food stamps (like say $70/hr) and leave the next three years of the FO scale near first year pay, and then put the majority of the cash into the left seat, everyone will be happy. The "lifers" can make a living, and the "I want United money, so I"m going to United" guys get their Airbus Type w/PIC and go to United. With the way we grow and the rate we're LOSING PILOTS, no one will stay on the FO scale for more than two years anyway. Make dogleg in the slope happen at year four on the FO scale.
Captains (senior) guys make a good living.
Training Dept guys make a good living.
FO's get to build their CV.
Problems solved.

OR...... we would demand fair pay across the board like the rest of our peers.

No what we should do is since over half of our pilots are 5 years or less we should fatten that part of the pay scale the most at DOS and then as the years go give minimal raises to they old farts that have been here forever. They have been making money with transition conflicts on the backs of the junior guys for years! [sarcasm]
